Corrections and Right of Reply

This statement describes how NISWOSAKIT (the websites at niswosakit.com and woonsocket.info, the "Site") handles reported errors and requests for a right of reply. It forms part of the Terms of Use.
1. Reporting an error
If any figure, fact, or characterization on the Site appears inaccurate, out of date, or unfairly presented, you may report it using our correction form or by contacting contact@niswosakit.com. Please identify: the page and the specific item; the basis on which you believe it is incorrect; and, where available, a citation to the correct record.
2. How reports are handled
We review reported errors against the underlying record. We correct genuine errors and, for material changes, retain a dated note of what was changed. Where you have provided contact information, we endeavor to inform you of the outcome, including where we conclude that the original content was correct and the basis for that conclusion.
3. Right of reply for identified public figures
If the Site identifies you as a public official, candidate, business, or other public figure, you may submit a statement in your own words concerning an item that relates to you. Where such a statement is relevant and appropriate, we will publish it alongside the item so that your position appears together with ours. Where your own current statement conflicts with our summary, your statement controls.
4. Requests by private individuals
If the Site identifies you as a private individual, you may request that the information be corrected, reduced, de-identified, or removed, and we will consider the request in good faith, giving particular weight to requests where the individual is private and the matter is a private one. Submitting a request does not obligate us to remove accurate, sourced information concerning a matter of public concern.
5. Information you submit
The form requests your name, a means of contact, and the substance of your report or statement, and discloses this before submission. Because the purpose of the form is to correct the public record, portions of a submission may be referenced in a public corrections log, and a statement submitted for publication may be displayed alongside the item to which it relates. Your contact details are used to reach you and are not published. Our handling of submitted information is described in the Privacy Policy.
